I feel it’s getting hard to learn new programs relating motion and time-based medias.

The class was not easy, specially in the part that I should get used to some of the programs I’ve never tried before.

besides the technical parts, critic was intense.

And interaction during critics was lively and active.

It gives me a lot of good sources of ideas when working on the project.

Personally I like that I bring a refined model from the last one in project 2.

It’s right that motion-based work is a matter of time management.

But to feel comfortable with the programs and assignments can’t be ignored.

good experience.

opening title for starcraft tournament

In Korea, there are broadcasting channels only for game especially starcraft (which came out more than 10 years ago.)

Still the broadcasting is on-the-go.

The quality of motion title is superb, considering this one is from about 3 or 4 years ago.

abstract expressionism may be too old-fashioned in this era.

But I became to love his paintings in a second.

Project 3 inspiration

2×4 inc. is one of my favorite design agency.

this is their logo variation and in motion video each image morphs into another one.

If interested in this video, then check out 2×4 website.

But, it doesn’t seem a good reference for project 3. I don’t know. But I think my video are killing the personalities of individual artists in this exhibition.

But except for the cutouts the image transition is too generic.

Maybe I should have brought another concept.

Project 2

Personally the project 2 was a long journey. I felt retarded. I just didn’t know what to do and what to ask.

Anyway, based on the fruitful advice in the class, I tried to re-design the system of this project.

Now it is a little bit composition of information kiosks or similar facility.

Besides my frustrations, I learned a lot.

Up to now, I’ve had thin of knowledge about flash ‘Thing.’

But now I feel better off about flash.

Roughly I began to understand how the flash and other motion-related program works.

And the challenging parts whenever I try flash are no longer non-sense to me.

Whether under intentional circumstances or not, this experience could be a valuable lesson to myself beyond the class or knowledge itself.

idea for project 2

idea

New York City is flourished with various art and cultural events every day. We can see events and performances in the street in daily basis. My idea is based on this. I want to show the daily art performances and events we might see and just pass by. In this city anyone can be an artist, as we can see musicians in the subway trains or platforms. I want to see this daily tidy events from the eyes of street eyes.

location

seaport—I think seaport has a unique place in NYC, which seems to set up for tourist or sightseeing. So I thought that seaport itself might have the atmosphere of events. And people can find events or street performances without expectation.
